Self-Storage company Blue Box Storage has seen a big increase in people who are urgently seeking storage space as they currently work from home during the coronavirus.
Bryan Merrett, owner of Blue Box said: “I’ve seen an increased demand from domestic and student customers over the past week. Even though the UK are in a Lockdown period, we are essential to many thousands of people looking for storage containers.”
However, there has also been a few customers and small businesses move out of the storage facility due to funds that couldn’t be paid, and that little to no-income would be the main issue. Blue Box Storage did say they agreed a rent holiday or a deferral on a case-by-case basis mainly for small businesses in the local area.
Social Distancing Vs High Demand
Social Distancing is in practice, meaning it is harder for everyone not just us to run a business. However, we got to do what is safe for everyone – which means we’ve made sure that there is no non-essential staff on site, on those who operate the 24/7 security.
