Sadly, the total number of deaths in the UK has risen again by a large amount due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Us here at Blue Box Storage Doncaster would like to pass on our thoughts and prayers to the families of victims, as well as our many thanks to the NHS for their hard work during this difficult time.
Storage Facility Turned into Morgue
A Storage facility in the North of England is to be converted into a temporary mortuary to store up to 1,700 bodies. The move comes amid a continued increase of deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic. The building, in the North of England, will be used to ease enough pressure on funeral directors in the many areas that show a huge increase and risk of COVID-19 deaths.
A team of the storage facility workers is transforming the building for its new purpose (at a reasonable distance of course). This is one of a few active construction sites still working even into the Lockdown situation.
Body Storage
The so-called “Body Storage Facility” is due to be operational within the next couple of days, just as when the peak of the coronavirus is apparently going to hit. Similar measures have also been taken by local authorities around the country such as, a makeshift hospital, and the council been given permission to use aircraft hangers as morgues if deaths continue to rise.
Alongside Key workers and partners such as, the NHS and Food suppliers, we are looking for various options for dealing with increased deaths as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Consistent Monitoring
We are using our best SECURE eye and monitoring the outbreak on a daily basis, which is impacting our planning models for the pandemic including potential requirements for a temporary body storage facility.
This is causing a lot of frustration. Going forward, I can see a lot of problems with unresolved grief. I think lots of families are going to have to find a way in which they can channel this unresolved grief, this anger, in the days ahead.
